Gwen Stefani Faces Lawsuit After Fan Breaks Leg at Concert

Gwen Stefani is facing a lawsuit from a fan that broke their leg during one of the singer’s concerts. Live Nation is also listed as a defendant in the lawsuit, which seeks compensatory and punitive damages.

In the federal complaint filed Friday, Lisa Keri Sticklin accuses the No Doubt singer of causing a “crowd rush” at a Charlotte, North Carolina gig in July 2016 that resulted in Sticklin suffering several injuries including a broken tibia.

According to Sticklin, Stefani encouraged fans sitting in the lawn portion of the PNC Pavilion to rush into the reserved seated half of the amphitheater, Courthouse News reports.

“‘Just fill in anywhere you like! Who cares about your lawn chairs? You can get new ones,” Stefani told the crowd, the lawsuit alleges, accusing the singer of negligence.

Sticklin, who sat with friends in the reserved section, claims that she suffered the injury as the lawn patrons jumped the barricades and ropes and entered the seated portion.

“After the patron crowd rush and the resulting injury to the Plaintiff, Stefani announced through her microphone and the loud speakers throughout PNC Pavilion that ‘I got in so much trouble for telling you guys to come up here,'” the lawsuit continued.

Reps for Stefani and Stricklin did not immediately reply to requests for comment. A rep for Live Nation told Rolling Stone that the company “does not comment on pending or ongoing litigation.”

Marilyn Manson Announces Heaven Upside Down Tour

Marilyn Manson has scheduled an early fall tour in support of his upcoming new LP, now-retitled Heaven Upside Down.

The shock rocker’s trek begins September 27th at Silver Spring, Maryland’s Fillmore and wraps a month later with a two-night stand at Las Vegas’ House of Blues on October 27th and 28th.

In addition to his own tour, Manson also booked gigs at festivals like New Jersey’s Rock Allegiance, Houston’s Open Air, Sacramento’s Aftershock and the just-announced Ozzfest Meets Knotfest in San Bernardino, California in November.

In September, Manson talked to Rolling Stone about his new album, then titled Say10 but since refurbished with Heaven Upside Down.

“It’s not very much in any way like The Pale Emperor,” Manson said. “The people who have heard the new songs said it reminded them of their favorite parts of Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals – but with a new, different approach. It’s pretty violent in its nature for some reason.”

Hear Ty Dolla $ign's Lush New Song With Lil Wayne, The-Dream

Ty Dolla $ign teamed up with Lil Wayne and The-Dream on his seductive new single, “Love U Better.” DJ Mustard and Twice as Nice co-produced the atmospheric track, which debuted Monday via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show.

On the lush, electro-R&B song, the vocalists trade Auto-Tuned boasts. Ty Dolla $ign and The-Dream tag-team the chorus, pleading, “Girl, you should know that that I can love you better than he can.”

Lil Wayne punctuates the romance with raunch, in his verse, he raps: “Pull up on it in an Uber, that’s how I maneuver/ Turn this D into a D+ and I’m her tutor,” he rhymes. “Turn a B into a D cup, hallelujah/ Got her clappin,’ yeah she booby-trappin’ out at Hooter’s.”

“Love U Better” is Ty Dolla $ign’s first single from his second LP, Beach House 3. The singer has yet to announce a release date for the album, which follows his 2015 debut, Free TC, and last year’s Campaign mixtape.

The cameo-friendly vocalist has made several high-profile guest spots so far this year – joining Quavo on rapper Machine Gun Kelly’s new song “Trap Paris,” assisting Ludacris on the Atlanta MC’s lascivious trap track “Vitamin D” and appearing on rapper Kid Ink’s DJ Mustard-produced “F With U.”

Ozzfest Meets Knotfest: Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson Lead Lineup

Ozzfest Meets Knotfest will return in 2017 with Ozzy Osbourne, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie and Prophets of Rage leading the two-day metal fest. Despite the festival’s name, however, Slipknot will curate, but not perform at, this year’s festivities.

“Knotfest was never supposed to be exclusively about Slipknot,” Corey Taylor, whose Stone Sour will perform during the Knotfest portion, said in a statement.

“It was always about the things that fueled the spirit of Slipknot: music, art, passion, insanity, and the tribes that give it power. So it would make sense for Knotfest to carry on these ideas, even without Slipknot. Because these things are the gasoline of creativity, and there’s plenty to go around, with plenty of great bands, acts and things to see.”

Ozzfest will take place November 4th at San Bernardino, California’s Glen Helen Amphitheater, with the Black Sabbath singer sharing the bill with Prophets of Rage, Deftones, Children of Bodom, Baroness and many more. As previously reported, Osbourne’s longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde will rejoin the singer for the gig.

The following night, Knotfest will bring Zombie, Manson, Stone Sour, Testament, Life of Agony, Black Dhalia Murder and more to the same venue.

“It’s that incredible time again where Ozzfest and Knotfest meet up to bring all music fans together for two days of Rock and Roll,” Slipknot’s “Clown” said in a statement. “Let’s not forget the beautiful culture we are involved in and the history that is being written. Join the true passion of our concepts. I’ll see you there. Stay (sic).”

Tickets for the two-day festival go on sale July 14th at both the Ozzfest and Knotfest sites.
